Dr. Heather A. Campion is the newest orthopedic surgeon to join the expert team of doctors at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. As a board-eligible, fellowship-trained hand surgeon, Dr. Campion’s expertise includes all areas of surgical and nonsurgical hand care, including treatment for carpal tunnel, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s contracture, and fractures of the fingers, hand, and wrist.

“Dr. Campion’s experience and expertise make her a tremendous asset to our team of hand doctors at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine,” says Dr. Kenneth P. Butters, hand and upper extremity surgeon at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

A Eugene native and graduate of Marist High School, Dr. Campion graduated summa cum laude from The University of Notre Dame prior to receiving her doctorate of medicine, cum laude, from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Campion received specialized training in orthopedic surgery as a resident at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics before completing her fellowship training in hand surgery at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

“We know that Dr. Campion is a perfect fit for our practice and our patients,” Dr. Jason D. Tavakolian, hand and elbow surgeon at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine says. “We are excited to welcome her and look forward to working with her.”
