Rapid Access—Speeding Up Injury Evaluation
Whether you are a weekend warrior, a committed recreational athlete, or you just want to get back to work or gardening, we’ll get you on the road to recovery quickly.
The Slocum Center’s Rapid Access service is designed to accommodate people with injuries that are less than seven days old. These patients can schedule an appointment Monday through Friday and be seen within 24 hours.
The quicker that patients are able to schedule an appointment with a physician, the faster the injury can be assessed, treated, and healed.
“Patients who schedule an appointment with Rapid Access benefit from early diagnosis and may be able to safely return to activity more quickly,” Dr. Denise D. Routhier says.
Patients should check with their insurance company for coverage questions before coming into the Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Usual and customary co-pays will apply and be due at the time of your appointment, and fees for services will be billed to your insurance company.
